There
are a lot of websites out there that will help you design a blog but ultimately
you have the final decision on what you want you blog to look like. The design
of your blog should be easy to read and follow. Adding pages at the top of your
blog for your readers to easily find what there are looking for is one way to improve
the design of your blog. Also adding a search function will also give readers a
way to look for something specific. Think about how one of your favorite blogs
is designed and take tips from that to help with your own layout.
Choosing
the right color scheme for your blog is an important factor of the design of
your blog. You want the colors to flow and not clash or are hard on your eyes.
For example having bright lime green for a back ground color and thin white
letters for your font would be hard on the reader. Keep in mind you want your
blog to be easy to read so you need to make sure your text is formatted in a
clear manor.
Concise communication can be difficult when you have a lot
of information and not a lot of space to add it. This can be a challenge if you
are using Twitter which only allows you to post in 140 characters or less. This is one of the main reasons I opted to
create a Facebook page for my blog. This way I am not limited on what I need to
post. However, one tip for twitter users is to draft an outline for your post
and add only the key statements to be able to fit all the information in.
